I have nothing but good things to say about working with Garrett! I started working with him the end of February 2022 as I wanted to lose some weight and get more in shape for my wedding. He helped motivate and hold me accountable until my wedding in October! I lost 25 pounds for my wedding and felt fabulous on that day. Weight loss isn't always easy but Garett's plans make it more bearable. He has fun recipes and ways of making "bad" food healthy and taste good. Training with Garrett,
I have been training with Garrett Conley for about eighteen weeks now. In those eighteen weeks, I have averaged a weight loss of about one point five pounds per week which is ideal for me. I have gained significantly more stamina, muscle, and range of motion in my exercises in addition to ease of performing day-to-day activities. Another positive change would be being able to fit into clothes that have been collecting dust in my closet for the last year. Which is one of the best victories.
There are a lot of perks to training with Garrett. Having a meal rotation tailored to my body’s individual needs is one of the biggest perks because I know the food, I’m consuming will maximize my results and be continuously updated based on results. This service is very hard to find. It is also fun to see what cuisines will be on the next rotation; spoiler alert they are always delicious and fun to prepare. When doing weekly check-ins Garret is always enthusiastic, ready to celebrate the wins, and coach to success. He is only a text or phone call away and always responsive. One last note, once you train with someone who operates at the level Garrett does there are no alternatives, and you will be a fan for life. Ten out of ten would recommend GC Athletics aka Gain City.

Working with Garrett has been THE best fitness decision I have ever made! Before working with Garrett, I struggled to make it to the gym regularly, and my diet was inconsistent to say least. In just over six months with Garrett, I have had so much success in reaching my goals. My confidence is through the roof, I now love going to the gym, and the weight keeps falling off. This is all thanks to Garrett!! He is the ultimate hype man to keep you motivated, and also provides the perfect amount of accountability to keep you on track. If you would have asked me 6 months ago what I had for goals for myself, I would have simply answered to “get more active and feel better”. Today I can say that my goal is to get stronger and use the confidence I’ve gained over the last 6 months to keep moving forward. A large majority of that confidence and strength have come from working with Garrett.
When I started working with Garrett, it was just to address shoulder pain that multiple physical therapists failed to fix in the past. Then the journey progressed into improved nutrition and strength training. I’ve even accomplished competing in my first deadlifting competition, which I never thought was something that I’d be able to do.
The journey continues to this day and doesn’t have a stopping point. With the continued support of the most awesome coach I know, the sky is the limit!

I have been working with Garrett for a little over a month now. It’s amazing how over a short period of time I’ve already noticed positive changes in my body composition and increased strength during my workouts! I’ve wanted to work with a coach for several years, and I feel fortunate to have found Garrett just at the right time. Garrett is an incredibly knowledgeable coach, a great mentor, and has been a friend of mine since 2014.
I reached out to GC Athletics in late 2018 when attempting to lose some bodyfat, but didn't have the nutritional knowledge - also needed a little more direction as to how to approach my workouts while attempting to recomp.
GC Athletics provided me with the following:
- Monthly (detailed) nutrition plans
- Excel/Spreadsheet formatted workout plan which made for easy tracking
- Open and thorough communication throughout the six months working toward this goal
- Two weigh-ins per week
- Input, and tons of motivational support
Beginning Weight: 230
End Weight: 195

Here is my review:
I can’t say enough about how much GC Athletics has changed my life. My husband and I started our journey with him feb 2021 with the intent to not only look our best but FEEL our best for our wedding in August. GC athletics exceeded our expectation by not only crushing our goal but starting us on a healthy complete lifestyle change and we haven’t looked back since. He pushed us to our maximum potential fostering a healthy relationship with food and exercise which I struggled with for many years prior. After our wedding we changed gears from looking our leanest to being our strongest with a goal of competing in a powerlifting competition. I had no idea what my body could do with the proper meal/exercise program/guidance..I went from benching 95 to 160, deadlifting 215 to 300, and squatting 175 to 315. These numbers I felt were unattainable and with GC athletics guidance I achieved this in under a year. No matter what your goal, GC athletics will be 1000% attentive, be your biggest support, and encourage/guide you to go above and beyond. He is an incredible coach and the kindest human I know and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to work with him.

My experience with Garrett was fantastic!
He knows Nutrition and how it affects the body. The menus are outstanding, very tasty, balanced and very easy to follow. What I loved the most was his positivity and his “you can do this” attitude which really helped to motivate me. He’s on your team, never any judgment, had the ability to see where I needed some help. He makes a point to check in weekly for updates and progress and answer any questions. If you are serious about Nutrition and Personal Training, Garrett is the one!

I first saw GC’s work, and results on one of my high school friends (AP) who he’s now engaged to. I reached out not knowing what to expect, and wondered how that would effect the coaching since I now live in Michigan. I let him know I was working in the Oil/Gas industry working crazy hours, and he still found a plan that worked.
